ScopeSky selects datamena to deploy its Point of Presence and extend its Network Dimension
Dubai, UAE, 9 December 2015: datamena, the pioneering carrier neutral data centre and connectivity platform based in the UAE and servicing theMiddle East and Africa (MEA) region, is delighted to announced a new collaboration with ScopeSky, Iraq’s first licensed carrier-class fiber optic network.
ScopeSky chose to deploy a point of presence (PoP) within the datamena ecosystem. The deployment will extend ScopeSky’s International Network,adding Dubai to its existing presence in London and Frankfurt. ScopeSky will use the UAE-IX (Internet Exchange) to connect with content delivery networks existing within datamena.
datamena is a hub where regional and international carriers are present, which makes it easy to interconnect and provide a variety of services.datamena enables direct low-latency access to the key markets in the Middle East, North America and West and Central Asia. Its carrier-neutral model allows customers to meet, interconnect and do business together from a single location in the heart of the Middle East.

ScopeSky has entered into a joint agreement with the Investment and Technology Group Company (ITC), which has the right of use for the Gulf Bridge International submarine cable to reach Dubai from Iraq.
