Sky News Arabia chooses datamena to build news content aggregation and delivery platform

 

Dubai, UAE, 5 March 2014: datamena, the carrier neutral data centre and connectivity platform based in the UAE and serving the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region, has been chosen to build a content management facility for the UAE operations of Sky News Arabia, the 24 hour breaking news broadcaster. The partnership was announced on the sidelines of Capacity Middle East of which datamena is a Diamond Sponsor.

 

The partnership agreement was signed between Hany Ali, Executive vice President of Enterprise marketing in du, and Nart Bouran, Head of Sky News Arabia in the presence of Mahesh Jaishankar – Vice President, datamena, among other senior officials.

In joining datamena, Sky News Arabia’s point of presence (PoP) will be connected directly to the Samacom Teleport and Sky News Arabia’s international network. Within the datamena transit zone, Sky News Arabia will be able to connect directly to carriers and partners that add value to the business and enhance their capability to bring live breaking news to their viewers.

 

Sky News Arabia joins a growing list of companies that have chosen to be part of datamena, including Vodafone Qatar, Cable and Wireless, Level 3 and more.
